Our History

Since 1979, Ingram’s Soil Testing Center has been bringing you quality soil sampling and soil testing services. Owned by Dale and Rosalie Ingram, ISTC was formerly known as the Kaiser Agricultural Services Laboratory in Sullivan, Illinois.

Introduction of the Global Positioning System during the early 1990’s allowed to ISTC to expand the business to include quality GPS soil sampling services. In order to better serve its customers, the company added a second sampling and testing location in Athens, Illinois which opened its doors to serving agriculture in 1996.

Quality soil testing lab procedures have been managed by Shirley Maxwell since 1986. Shirley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Eastern Illinois University. In addition to Shirley, Ingram’s Soil Testing Center employs five full time staff members and numerous dedicated, seasonal staff members.

Our staff serves you each day by taking GPS soil samples, testing soil for nutrients, creating field map books and fertilizer spread maps for you and your clients. Our precision field mapping crews have sampled acres across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Missouri.
